This webinar explains how to integrate HART field devices into modern monitoring and control systems using SCADA software. The training starts with an overview of the HART protocol—how it carries digital data on top of traditional 4–20 mA wiring, how point-to-point and multidrop modes work, and why HART is commonly used to upgrade existing plant instrumentation without replacing wiring. It then introduces ICP DAS USA HART gateways and converters that translate HART data into Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP, making HART variables easy to read inside SCADA platforms. A live demo walks through configuring a HART gateway with the free utility software, scanning connected HART devices, mapping HART command data into Modbus registers, verifying values with a Modbus test tool, and finally pulling real-time HART measurements into SCADA screens for visualization, trending, alarms, and system monitoring.
