Intro to HMI Design with HMIWorks
This webinar provides an overview of HMIWorks, ICP DAS USA’s development software for creating touchscreen HMI and control projects on TPD and VPD TouchPad controllers. It explains the differences between the TPD series (compact models for building/home automation and wall-box mounting) and the VPD series (industrial models with an IP65 front panel, keypad options, and additional communications). The video then walks through the HMIWorks environment—showing how to start a project by selecting the correct controller preset, build a multi-page interface (“frames”) using the drag-and-drop GUI editor, and use built-in widgets like buttons, sliders, labels, timers, and graphics libraries to display and control data. Finally, it introduces Ladder Designer for implementing basic control logic with contact/coil-style programming, and summarizes how TouchPads can communicate using Modbus and other protocols to monitor I/O, read meters, and control devices in building automation and industrial applications.
