WISE-PaaS Smart Fire Alarm Monitoring Solution

WISE-PaaS Smart Fire Alarm Monitoring Solution

Introduction

Imagine a building divided into six zones, each equipped with a WISE-7152 module connected to smoke or temperature sensors, emergency switches, and warning lights.

When a fire is detected in Zone F, the WISE-7152 immediately sends an alarm through its built-in P2P communication function. Warning lights across all zones identify Zone F as the affected area, helping occupants and responders quickly locate the fire and evacuate safely. Once the situation is resolved, a single emergency switch can reset all alarms and warning lights.

A separate WISE-7152 can also serve as a network coordinator, continuously monitoring the status of all modules. Operators can quickly identify communication issues or offline devices, improving system reliability and maintenance efficiency.

Device Introduction:

WISE-7152, the Intelligent WISE I/O Module

The WISE-7152 module is based on the IEEE 802.3af-compliant (classification, Class 1) Power over Ethernet (PoE) specification, which allows power to be received from a PoE-enabled network using Ethernet pairs (Category 5 Ethernet cable). This feature provides greater flexibility and a higher efficiency, therefore simplifying system design, saving space, reducing the number of cables, and eliminating the requirement for dedicated electrical outlets. At the same time, the WISE-7152 module will still be able to receive power from auxiliary power sources such as AC adapters or batteries, etc., in situations where it is operating in a non-PoE environment.

The WISE-7152 module supports the Modbus/TCP protocol to enable seamless integration with SCADA software. The module features 8-channel isolated open collector output and 8-channel isolated wet contact digital inputs. Each Digital Output channel supports 650mA current driving +10 to +40 VDC, and each Digital Input channel supports counter input.

Benefits:

  • You can implement logic settings in the system without programming requirements.
  • You can immediately create a fire alarm system, which sharply reduces the time and labor spent on system development.
  • You can reduce wiring costs by using the Ethernet as the communication network for the entire system, together with the supported PoE feature.
  • By using the advanced P2P function, multiple WISE modules can share information via the network in real-time and respond immediately.
  • The operating status of the whole system is displayed via the indicators, making it easy to perform maintenance without the need for a complex SCADA system.
