Intelligent Automation for Conventional Devices Using Production Statistics

Introduction
Every completed sole and its station temperature are automatically recorded in a MySQL or Oracle database for production tracking and quality analysis.
Using the XP-9000-WES7/XP-8000-WES7 PAC Series, ICP DAS USA enabled automatic collection of production and temperature data from PLC-controlled shoe sole pressing machines. Temperature information is retrieved through Modbus RTU communication and uploaded to the database for real-time monitoring and historical analysis.
To ensure accurate production counts, ICP DAS USA used an M-7055 module to monitor both production-complete signals and machine operating modes. This approach eliminated the need for invasive hardware modifications while maintaining reliable production statistics.
The solution was fully tested before deployment and installed with only about 20 minutes of production downtime, minimizing disruption to factory operations.
