What harmonic analysis and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) measurement capability does the PM-3133 Series support?

The PM-3133 Series power meters analyze harmonic components within a 2.8 kHz measurement bandwidth. The maximum number of harmonics that can be calculated depends on the fundamental frequency of the power system.

The harmonic calculation formula is:

N = [2800 / f], N ≤ 63

In this formula, f represents the fundamental frequency in hertz. The calculated value determines the highest harmonic order that can be analyzed, with a maximum limit of 63 harmonics.

For example, on a 50 Hz power system, the theoretical maximum harmonic order would be 56. On a 60 Hz power system, the theoretical maximum harmonic order would be approximately 46.

This harmonic analysis capability enables detailed power quality monitoring, including Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), waveform distortion detection, load diagnostics, and electrical system optimization in industrial and commercial facilities.
