In most cases, yes. An AVEVA Edge runtime license can run projects created with older development versions, as long as the runtime license version is equal to or newer than the development license version used to create the project. For example, a project developed with AVEVA Edge 2020 can run using a 2023 runtime license. However, the reverse is not supported. If the project was developed using a newer version than the runtime license, the runtime key must be upgraded to match or exceed the development version. We can verify compatibility using the NS number or serial number of your development license and provide the correct runtime license to ensure proper deployment.
