This is a walkthrough of an ICP DAS USA building automation webinar where the presenters explain what a “smart building” system can monitor and control—HVAC scheduling, lighting triggered by sensors, access control, and fire/sprinkler status—and then demonstrate a sample building automation SCADA project in InduSoft that shows security, lighting, HVAC, elevators/escalators, alarms, trends, scheduling, and user access control on a single graphical interface. The discussion also references ICP DAS hardware that can support these applications, such as infrared control modules for switching equipment, touch screen controllers for local control and scheduling, wireless options, power/energy monitoring, and data logging for temperature/humidity and system status.
