Public Space Monitoring

Introduction
Located along Kaohsiung Harbor, the Kaohsiung Music Center is a premier entertainment and cultural destination featuring multiple performance venues, exhibition spaces, public attractions, and outdoor recreation areas.
Previously, facility operations relied on separate monitoring systems, requiring operators to manage multiple interfaces. To improve efficiency, ICP DAS USA implemented a centralized control platform that integrates lighting, HVAC, security, power, fire protection, electromechanical equipment, and water management into a single system.
To further enhance public safety and energy efficiency, ICP DAS USA deployed a smart environmental monitoring solution that provides real-time condition monitoring, automated water control scheduling, and remote equipment control to support safer and more sustainable operations.

ICP DAS USA Public Area Monitoring Solution for the Kaohsiung Music Center
To streamline facility operations, ICP DAS USA deployed a centralized monitoring solution that integrates lighting, HVAC, security, power, fire protection, water supply, wastewater, and other critical infrastructure into a single control platform.
Using M-7000 Series remote I/O modules and PDS-700 Series programmable device servers, data from field equipment is collected and transmitted to the SCADA system for centralized monitoring, control, and analysis.
As a result, operators can remotely manage facility systems, improve operational efficiency, and gain actionable insights through real-time data collection and reporting.
System Architecture Overview:

Integrated Monitoring System Overview
To simplify operations, ICP DAS USA combined lighting, fire protection, water systems, and emergency alerts into one easy-to-manage monitoring platform.
The M-7051D-G remote I/O modules monitor lighting, fire pumps, water levels, utility meters, and nearly 100 emergency switches throughout the facility. The M-7045D-NPN-G modules control about 30 on-site alarm horns and warning lights.
PDS Series gateways transfer device data to the InduSoft SCADA system, allowing operators to monitor and manage all connected systems from a central location.
As a result, facility staff can quickly respond to issues, improve safety, and operate more efficiently.
