This webinar introduces Smart Building Technology and shows how ICP DAS USA products can be combined into a complete building automation and energy management architecture. It starts with an overview of IoT fundamentals and how connected devices improve efficiency, decision-making, safety, and operating costs through real-time data and automation. The training then highlights the WISE series as a no-code, browser-configurable controller platform for building IF-THEN-ELSE rules, scheduling, data logging, FTP/Email reporting, and CGI-based event actions—making it easy to automate HVAC routines, rotate equipment, trigger backup systems, and send alarms. From there, the webinar covers core smart building subsystems: access control (readers + ACS Manager database software), event-based surveillance (linking I/O events to camera snapshots/video to reduce storage and simplify search), smart lighting control (relay/dimmer modules, occupancy-based brightness, load-current feedback, and DALI integration via gateway), and power monitoring (smart meters plus concentrators/displays with microSD logging and web configuration). The session concludes with a SCADA demo using Aveva Edge/InduSoft, showing how these devices integrate into dashboards, trends, alarms, reports, and remote web/mobile access for centralized building monitoring and control.
